About Me

I’m an “English as a Second Language”, ESL teacher, Except for a break of 3 or 4 years, I have been teaching English since December 1994 and have a little over 20 years of experience teaching English in Hong Kong and Japan. I have taught a range of ages and people from children to adults, and housewives to senior business people.

Now with a young family, I have moved from a full-time work to part-time tutoring which offers a more flexible schedule so I can spend more time with my children.

Born in London, United Kingdom, I have speak with Received Pronunciation, RP, or possibly better known as BBC or Queen’s English. My accent can be identified as being from the south-eastern England/London. I do not have strong accent and it is generally easy for most people to understand. Even thought I am from the UK, I will make sure to teach both British and American versions of vocabulary.

I have taught for a number of langage centres and have been the head teacher in a couple. They have different teaching styles and different materials and have given me a wealth of teaching experience.
